Come and get to know me better.

Kristin Noland crime fiction editor speculative fiction editor

I love curling up with a great book and a cup of hot chocolate! In the evenings and on weekends, you can find me reading fantasy, mystery, thriller, suspense, dystopian, or apocalyptic novels. During the weekdays, I’m editing these genres. I can’t get enough!

As a developmental, line, and copy editor of speculative and crime fiction, I help female authors craft their amazing novels by providing insightful feedback and support in a trusting environment.

I’m a lover of words. There’s something about reading a manuscript and getting to know an author through their words that inspires me.

But it isn’t just your writing that intrigues me. The story, the craft, putting together all the elements of a fiction novel .... all of it. None of it is easy, and that’s where I can help.

I think the most important thing is to edit from a reader’s perspective. So, I specialize in speculative fiction: fantasy, dystopian, apocalyptic, mysteries, and psychological thrillers!

Knowing readers’ expectations, I can spot an amazing plot, excellent pacing, and flow and when the elements of storytelling aren't as strong as they could be.

Collaboration is key. Our goals are the same—to get your message out and provide your readers with an immersive experience.

I'm especially interested in supporting and encouraging female authors. I believe it's important to get our voices heard. Books change the world, and we can make it better!

I’ve edited over seventy manuscripts for indie authors and publishers from developmental editing to copyediting and have been recognized by the Coach Foundation as a Top Coach.

Two manuscripts I edited went on to be bestsellers! (One was on the Wall Street Journal Bestsellers List!!!)

While I concentrate on helping indie authors, I also have publishing industry experience. Assistant editor at Literary Wanderlust, contracted editor for Brooke Warner Coaching, She Writes Press, Greenleaf Book Group, and New Degree Press. This is starting to sound like a resume, but I'm also an editor for Book Butchers and The Literary Consultancy.

I have a bachelors in English and Literature from Southern New Hampshire University and a bachelors in microbiology from Penn State University.

That’s all I’ve got to say about myself.

I’d love to hear about your fiction novel and get it ready for the world!
