About Me

The Fun Stuff
I’m a dog lover! I have a little rescue dog named Izzy with a large comma-shaped spot! Coincidence? I think not.
Chocolate. Mmm. Chocolate. I would make it a food group if I could. Cake, doughnuts, hot, cold, candy bars. Hungry yet?
Nature is where I feel the most at home. It’s calming, don’t you think?
If I could travel all the time, I would. It expands my horizons and my knowledge of other cultures, which I enjoy.
If I’m not editing, playing with my dog, or out in nature, I’m looking at homes for sale across the Atlantic!
The Editing Stuff
I’m also a lover of words. There’s something about reading a manuscript and getting to know an author through their words.
But it isn’t just their writing that intrigues me. The story, the craft, putting together all the elements of a book .... None of it is easy, and that’s where I come into play.
When editing, I think the most important thing is to edit from a reader’s perspective. So, I specialize in fantasy, paranormal romance, dystopian, and apocalyptic fiction because those are the genres I love to read.
Knowing readers’ expectations, I can spot an amazing plot, but maybe the pacing feels off or the flow, right down to the sentence level.
I believe collaboration is key, and our goals are the same: to get your message out and provide your readers with great experiences.
The Experience Stuff
I’ve edited over fifty manuscripts, both for indie authors and publishers from developmental editing to copy editing.
I worked on a best-selling novel, Lost Souls by Shawn Keys, and many self, hybrid and traditional published novels.
My experience in the publishing industry includes assistant editor at Literary Wanderlust, contracted editor for Brooke Warner Coaching, She Writes Press, Greenleaf Book Group, and New Degree Press.
I have a bachelors in English and Literature from Southern New Hampshire University and a bachelors in microbiology from Penn State University.
That’s all I’ve got to say about myself. If you want to learn more, contact me or set up a chat.
I’d love to hear about your manuscript and see how we can work together!
